This Week's Shabbat Gathering
Tree of Life alternates between Full Service Gatherings and Unplugged Gatherings every Shabbat (Saturday) from 10:30 am - 12:00 pm.
We meet at Victory Church - 2802 Rusholme Road, Saskatoon, SK.
In the Preaching services at Tree of Life from November until late January, the congregation's preachers/teachers have begun a series of messages on I Peter. This book is a favorite of many of the congregations of the persecuted around the world because it addresses questions regarding responding to suffering for the Gospel. I Peter is not simple to outline because ideas are repeated and circle back and do not follow the chapters exactly. However, we are studying the 105 verses through six filters which become orientations for how to see. These are Look Backward, Upward, Inward, Forward, Outward and Together. We began on November 8 Looking Backward to the context of the Apostle Peter, the writer, and to his audience, the persecuted and scattered Jewish and possibly integrated Gentiles of Asia Minor. On November 22, we will Look Upward as our strategy for dealing with tribulation and then proceed in order with a variety of speakers. Each of the messages will address a particular orientation to life in days where we are increasingly aware of our status as a minority in society as followers of Yeshua.

This week, November 15th, is an Unplugged Gathering. Our Unplugged Gatherings look a little different; rather than a formal gathering with a message, praise and worship, we spend time together in an informal Bible study and prayer. Meanwhile, children and teen girls (ages 3–18) enjoy their own Unplugged Gathering, designed especially for them! There are classes available for children aged 3-7, a group for ages 8-12, and the teen girls group.
